Re the SVCD hack. It does work with the LG Dv1000, but there is no SVHS output on this machine, I used the AV2 connection with the same result. | |||

I ALSO USED THE FIRMWARE HACK (RMTM0000) AND IT WORKED A TREAT. I GOT THE FILE (RMTM000)FORM THIS LINK :- http://www.area450.co.uk/images/LG5000.zip SAVE THIS FILE TO YOUR HARD DRIVE AND OPEN THE ZIP FILE TO A KNOWN LOCATION, NOW YOU SHOULD HAVE A FILE CALLED RMTM0000. BURN THIS FILE TO DISC USING NERO ,(BURN AS A DATA DISC). ONCE ITS BURNED (TAKES 45 SECONDS OR SO) POP IT INTO YOUR LG DVD PLAYER AND FOLLOW THE ON SCREEN PROMPTS . ie if you want a region free player tap in 0 (zero) and press enter then switch off player and bobs your uncle .
