To hack region code just go to http://www.multi- region.net/lg_5931 and follow instructions. If you have already upgraded the firmware of your BD390 you will not be able to hack your BD player. Thats where I am right now. The alternative would be to get the original firmware to reinstall. Does anyone have it or knows how to solve my problem? Cheers | |||

The 6000.zip hack to make the LG BD390 region-free or to switch regions appears to only work on Region-2 players. Devices bought in the US (Region-1 players) gets 'CHECK DISK' no matter which firmware is used. | |||

marcelolara has absolutely right and so do hjbard. If you buy a new bd390 it comes with BD.8.08.529.B software. If you download version 526 and downgrade your bd390 it will work. There is a 527 version but havent tried it yet. after downloading a "downgrade use a usb device instead og burning it. My bd390 did not discover the file on cd but had no problem on usb mobile har drive. my BD390 was a region 2(now 0). I have a formerly Region 2 player, which I made region free using the instructions here. I just installed firmware BD.8.08.531.B. Let me just reassure you all that my player is still region free -- for DVDs, at least. It still won't read the old CD with the actual hack, so you still need to downgrade first, install the hack, and then upgrade again. | |||
