To play vcd and CD/RW Power on no disk press pause on remote enter 1472 press up 3 times press program 6 program 5 characters 04 Fe should be displayed press enter press return power off WARNING! These hacks work also with LG DVD-4220 and the VCD hack makes it also play MP3s. The SVCD hack doesn't work on this model. | |||

just a note to say that the vcd hack,for this model,only just works.most the time i get disk error,and the player spits out the disk.i have only got 2 vcd's to play.and most the time to get them to play is a pain.one method i have tried that has seemed to help make the vcd's be recognised is,after you get a disck error displayed in the lcd screen on front of the dvd,take out the disk,and put in a dvd,wait till the disk gets recognised,and dvd is displayed in the lcd.then take out the dvd,put in the vcd.close the drawer.switch off dvd player then switch it back on.this workls sometimes,but not all the time.i just think this dvd player cannot play vcd's properly. | |||

If you need to reset the code back to the original value, follow the procedure as above, but instead of pressing program 6 program 5, press 9 program 3, the value will display as 04 9C then press enter then return. | |||
