	I bought 3 of these under the Durabrand DVD1002 name, they where bought in July 2006 but manufactured in May 2006. It depends on when in May it manufactured as to which hack will work. Try both listed here. Good Luck switch on. open lid. press STOP on remote. enter code 2379 on remote. region code list will appear on screen, using the UP/DOWN buttons on remote select required region (9 is multi-region). press OK on remote. close lid. press STANDBY on player. ALL DONE!. PLEASE NOTE....when selecting your region you will need to be quick as the info on screen will only display for a few seconds if no buttons are pressed. ----------------------------------------------------------- 1. Power ON 2. Open Tray 3. on the remote use the code. 359735 4.Use region 0 to make player region FREE.

	This hack also works for the Durabrand DVD-1005. Bought from Asda (UK) Jan 2007. Same model as on sale in Walmart (US). Switch On. Open lid. Press STOP on remote. Enter code 2379 on remote. Region code list will appear on screen - use the Up/Down buttons on remote to select region (Region 0=multi-region). Press OK on remote. Close lid. Press STANDBY on player. Your player may already be set to region 0 if you bought it from Asda, so will play non region 2 disks with no hack required.

	I used the 2nd hack by JASK40(also by The7 Dwarfs) to make the player bought at Walmart on March 5, 2007 region free. I bought this specific player because I watch DVDs from all over the world and these hacks are listed on your site and they did not involve any complicated steps.

	Roman's worked but I had to try it it a few times. This DVD player will not play DVD's without a menu. If you remove the menu from your dvds when you burn them, this player will NOT play them.

	Roman's hack was a success. However, before it would work I had to go to Setup, change TV System to AUTO, exit Setup, enter the hack, go back into Setup and change TV System back to NTSC.

	None of the hack are working. I just bought the player last week. the manufacturing date is Sep 2007. I have another one i bought long time ago with a manufacuturing date of Dec 2006 and one of the hacks work on that one. Does anyone know a hack that would work on the new production?

	I bought a Duraband DVD1002 from Walmarts 10 Dec 2007. The Manufactured date is September, 2007 and the hack by Roman (posted above) worked for mine as well. I tried the earlier posted hack by JASK40, but JASK40 did not work on my unit. This is the hack that worked on my unit: 1. Power on. 2. Open the lid. 3. Press STOP on remote. 4. Enter code 9753 on remote. 5. Region code list will appear on screen. You only have a few seconds and it will disappear. If it disappears, just turn the power off and start again. This unit is very forgiving. You can do this as many times as you like. 6. Using the UP/DOWN buttons on remote select required region (0 is multi-regional). 7. Press OK on remote. If you take too long, the unit will save the region you have on the screen and exit menue by itself. 8. Close lid. 9. Go to step 3. to confirm the change was saved to memory. 10. Play any VIDEO / AUDIO disc you like. Thanks Roman! Mike

Press STOP on remote. 4. Enter code 9753 on remote. 5. Region code list will appear on screen. You only have a few seconds and it will disappear. 	none of the codes listed are bringing up the region unlock screen. My durabrand 1002 was purchase Jan 4 2008 and manufactured July 2007. Any other help anyone can give me?

	Bought my player from Asda, manufactured September 2007 and used the code 2379. Discovered the player already set to region 0 in selection panel so no need to do anything more.

	By appearances, WalMart has stopped dealing this unit. I just bought mine from an Ebay seller called WORLD'S BEST DEALS who appears to have a s**tload of them. The box DOES say WalMart, but I'm clueless as to where to find the manufacture date (I'm a little slow), BUT...the 9753 code did the trick! This is probably the 4th or 5th time I've found hack codes on this site, but the 1st time I've stopped to say: THANK YOU! ALL OF YOU, who make this info available!! YOU ALL ROCK, and you're all going to heaven!

	Have Durabrand DVD1002 mfg June 2006 for region 1. Tried 2nd region code hack by JASK40 and did not work. Then tried 1st region code hack by JASK40 and it worked but my menu did not have a region 9. I used region 0 instead and all is OK. That info may be of use to someone else. Thanks JASK40 for the hack.

	Roman's hack worked on my dvd player, manufactured March 2007. I had to unplug the dvd player FIRST. Then plug the player back into the outlet. This was the most important step for me because none of the codes worked prior to me unplugging the dvd player, and plugging it back into the outlet. Then using a universal remote- a GE brand remote specifically coded "3515" for the Durabrand dvd player, I was able to follow Roman's hack below. (The universal remote probably was not needed, but I wasn't sure at the time that I tried the hack). Also, I actually kept the lid on the dvd player open before powering on the dvd player, and everything worked, just the same. power on. open lid. press STOP on remote. enter code 9753 on remote. region code list will appear on screen. using the UP/DOWN buttons on remote select required region (0 is multiregional). press OK on remote. close lid.
