I had the same problem that MilesAhead described in the post below and brought it to the attention of the developers in the doom9 download thread, and showed them an error log (it's dumped into your AvsPmod folder if there's a problem). Turns out there is a crashing problem that occurs if you don't have a dll file in the avisynth plugins folder which has an underscore in it (like mt_masktools, etc.). They recommended as a quick fix to just rename any dll file in the avisynth plugins folder and put an underscore in it, then start AvsPmod 2.1.2, then exit, then rename the dll back like it was (I went with DGDecode.dll to DG_Decode.dll, then back). Worked like a charm. The developers were very responsive and say they'll fix the bug pronto. Great program; been using it for a long time, since qwerpoi started it. Thanks to the mod team for keeping it going.

2.1.2 pops up some window and closes immediately on Windows7 32 bit.. 2.1.1 and previous builds worked fine for me.

I too can not get the original or this mod version to work on Win7 Home Premium. When I try to run either versions I get a popup saying errors occured and to check AvsP.exe.log and AvsPmod.exe.log respectfully, but there are no such files. I had no issues on XP though. I didn't have to install or run anything else, I just created a shortcut to the AvsP.exe and ran it as normal. Any help appreciated.

AvspMod 2.0.5 DOES work flawlessly on Win 7 Home Premium (I had python installed for Blender -I don't know if that helped at all).

I tested it under Seven RC and it works like a charm.

Will not run in Windows 7 at all. Not even with the compatibility and administrator options enabled.

I really liked the app on XP, but I can't get it to work on Vista.

Very nice tool for working with Avisynth. Just create a shortcut to the Avsp.exe on your Desktop or "Send To" folder. Drag any video file to it and it will create the proper Avisynth script for you....Nice and easy. Add some filters and it will auto-create the sliders for you.....Very cool. This tool simply makes working with Avisynth much more enjoyable and productive.

Fantastic for Avisynth scripting. Has immediate video preview capabilities, highlights the correct syntax, and even encoding choices from within the editor.

Before you dismiss this as "another script editor" have a look, it uses python language to achieve very impressive capabilities. Basically you add the filter you want to control, and now you have the ability to see what each filter option actually achieve to teh output straight away, without having to encode anything. You can controll virtually all parameters of ANY filter, and with the latest additions even add or disable different parts of filter chains, add buttons or tick boxes to see what difference adding or removing certain filters make to the overall output. This really is seriously useful stuff if you use AviSynth for anything. No filters need installing, no additions need to be tracked down, just copy the entire installation directory anywhere you want and it will run straight away. The only filters you need are the ones that you already use, adding your own functions for filters is very easy. Just imagine a full GUI for any filter and being able to see what effect it has straight away, now you can with this piece of software
