mpTrim is a simple and easy to use MP3 editor. Use it to improve your MP3 collection. mpTrim can adjust the volume of MP3s. mpTrim can fade-in/out MP3s (to fix abrupt beginning/ending). mpTrim can clean-up MP3s and recover wasted disk space. mpTrim keeps the music quality intact, no matter how many times you process an MP3, because it works directly in the MP3 format without having to decode/re-encode. That also makes it very fast. The free version has file a size limit.

The freeware version only opens files up to about 7 minutes long, and also doesn't have the batch functions. So okay for music tracks but pretty useless for video-related work. There are several paid versions, starting at $20 for larger files. So while it has a few useful features, no competition for MP3DirectCut.

The free version is total garbage!! I tried to open a 19.9mb MP3 and it said the file was to big and to upgrade to the paid version!! If a 19.9mb MP3 is to large to open, then the fee version is useless and seem's to just be a scam to get you to pay them for an actual usable tool!!
