What I don't like: 1 - File Name Are Not Correct On Devices. wysiNwyg. What is OUTL0005? What good is this disc to me now? Now I have to recheck all the discs, I don't know when this started, it must be the ISO settings, I don't care, uninstalling. 2 - It doesn't remember settings. It doesn't remember the last title used, that I don't want the disc to eject. 3 - Drop from windows explorer is out of order. If you select files from the bottom up, or from the top down, Nero (and other programs) will take them in that order. 3 - When selecting multiple files, you cannot move their position in the burn order. Single files can be positioned. 4 - Minor issue, pressing delete doesn't remove files from the list, you have to right click and choose remove. Another mouse-centric coder :( Favorite things: 1 - It shows the files to be burned in the order they will be burned. This should be very helpful to anyone using dumb devices like DivX players that don't sort. 2 - It has what a burner software should, no nonsense. 3 - I've burnt 20+ without fail. What you see is NOT what you get.

I generally love the simplicity, effectiveness, flexibility and the approach by the designers of this software. Full featured, light, speedy and functional. This is definitely a nomination for purchase even if the price wasn't so low. Another strong plus for this tool. In total, I rate this application somewhere close to 10 but I have to settle down with 8+. I deducted 2 points overall for three main reasons: 1. While I like the GUI approach I find elements scattered around which both doesn't look nice and also reduces productivity and effectiveness by the user. 2. My second "concern" is that this tool is not backed up by a proper official site and that is not just language-wise. There's no obvious communication between users and designers like for example a forum or a newsgroup. No straight way of reporting bugs, no way of knowing if your requests and proposals can be heard and the like. 3. I'm getting a feeling (point 2 above might be the reason), that you cannot tell if this is a project in constant development or if it will be. To sum up, with some GUI tweaking and organisation and a stronger web site to support this software we have for sure a strong winner. Till then I think I have to wait a bit to see how things evolve before my Nero becomes a thing of the past. I can strongly recommend this for those living for today. As of me, who cares about the future, I'm "forced" to see how things will develop before buying this otherwise excellent tool. OT: Has anyone heard of a tool called DiskJuggler by Padus. This also looks promising. I'm investigating! ;-)

I was looking for a burning suite to replace my roxio 6 (doesn't support 16x dvd burning). I was suggested prassi on the videohelp forum and downloaded the trial copy. Worked perfectly! Super easy to use. Just click the type of disc you want to make and add the files, click burn and your done! Highly recommend A+++ :) :) And a great price to boot - $20 USD when I bought it online. Well worth the money for a burn-only application.

If you don't like the short titles that ONES creates, you can get it to use more informative short titles by using the Windows SPTI.dll instead of the built-in write module. Click on Tools-->Options, and in the "Options" dialogue, check the box for "Force SPTI instead of PzWDM.sys." Then, close ONEs, re-launch it, and ONES will write compilation files to the CD/DVD with short titles that use the first eight characters of the long titles. Not perfect -- if the long titles are identical for the first eight characters, as so many are, a player like the Philips DVP642 will show a list of identical titles distinguished only by their relative positions in the directory -- but you might prefer it to the "initial letter plus serial number" native format.

it is a very good tool but there is a bad drawback: if you make a compilation of several movies (divx) on a single dvd the names that appear on a dvd reader are just the first letters followed by numbers.it is not the case if you read the content on a pc,it is just on dvd reader like my HB.So I keep nero for my compilation and I am not Happy I would like to use only the ones

Not as good as Record Now Max 4.5 but then again Record Now Max 4.5 won't function properly with newer drives and doesn't support dual layer. Good: Small footprint, compliant burns (prassi engine), doesn't mess with windows system files. Bad: Does not display all available write speeds for drive. Displays only a couple. eg. drive supports 2x4x6x8x but only displays 4x8x Limited usage/ creation of Image formats lacking eg. *.gi and others that Record Now Max or Alcohol 120% supports. No self bootable/ el torito option. Confusing interface, not as simple as Record Now Max 4.5 nor the options. Unable to view contents of various media. (hidden?) Why the heck do you need to lock and block a drive? Stupid function. If you ever, or acidently lock or block a drive and forget to undo it and exit the program your drive does not work. You will then have to go back into program and fix it. Burners used and tested: Pioneer A05, Nec 2500, Benq 1655

The corrected version 2.0.236 is out( Video TS problem fix)
Loading a VIDEO_TS folder does crash the application. I have emailed tech support. I have since downgraded to the previous version located here, if you need to downgrade. http://www.traxdata.fr/www/pdf/ONES_Update323.zip
Attention !!! with version 2.0.325 the program crash on loading VIDEO_TS folder I can confirm what written before. Use the previus version BHH
Great burn package but watch out with the last two versions. Burn speeds are not reported correctly and with latest version (2.0.325) it just crashes when you load a VIDEO_TS folder. Back to v2.0.300 for me!

This is a superb little puppy of a prog. I don't need/use Nero anymore. Unfortunate name tho :)
ONES should be named TENS. Simple, fast and reliable.
I was a fan of the old RecordNow Max (not deluxe) but with hardware/software upgrades, it does not recognize my NEC DVD drive anymore. ONES is very similar. I just wish you could sort a layout by the columns (source, destination on disc, size) like you could with RecordNow Max, instead if just moving up/down or dragging. Otherwise, I would rate this a 10.

ONES - simply the best

Had a few problems with the later versions of Nero, and also my little Celeron-based machine; Celeron 2.6, 1gig DDR SDRAM (400), Abit POS motherboard ...has been playing up lately and I was making a good few coasters which is unusual. Haven't had time to to go through all the formatting rigmarole so downloaded this little baby and all is fine. A superb little app. So very light on resources, easy to fathom and more stable than a stable.
Stayed away since I had read posts that users were having difficulties using with NEC drives; well this puppy works great so the ghosts must be gone now, it behaves nicely with my NEC3520A and no problems with my Benq1620pro either. best 20.00 I have spent in years. If you believe in the KISS formula (keep it simple stupid) then use the Wizard; I prefer the full program mode.

Simple the best BURNING program i tryed Small (very few mb), fast, reliable. If you need a burn program stick with Prassi!
I recently changed to this from software from Nero. Wow. No more coasters, the CPU use during burning DVDs has decreased so much I can keep websurfing again. It could be easyier, of course, losing the sort of "front-end" feeling, but just as long as it doesn't turn it to a bloatware.

Superb burning tool. As an user of RecordNow, this baby rocks even better. I've done several video_ts sessions without any problems and great compatibility. Also data burning to dvd (incremental):no problem.
This is one of the best burning programs I have used. To the previous post you must have other issues because I havn't had any problems burning audio cd's.
try making an audio cd...watch it crash.
Superb little burning app, only 1 executable,1.5 megabyte in size, does what its supposed to do very well, excellent burning engine combined with some advanced features. apart from some few glitches that will be fixed in an free update, this burning program rocks and its highly recommended.
A very nice, slimmed down burning suite. If you don't need/use cover designers, recoders, etc, this is the app for you. Prassi is known for their excellent burning engine, and all my burns have come out perfect.Even burned (by mistake) a couple svcd bin/cues to disc at MAX speed with zero playback problems. My only wish is if you could set some user parameters to save, such as max burning speed, so you don't have to reset it each time. Otherwise, a rising star!

I've been using this for a couple months now. I haven't had any problems burning data or movies. It's a nice little basic program that does one thing (burn) and does it well. I had Record Now 4.5, but it wouldn't recognize my DVR-108. I gave up on Roxio around version 4. I have Nero 5 as well, but I use Ones most of the time. I'd give value for money 11 if possible.
been using this for a few weeks now and i cant recommend it enough it burns perfectly and have not had any coasters with it yet
