Update available! The new version of the MPEG Pro HD 4.1 Plug-In now comes with Smart Rendering for Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 as well. Additionally, it offers an improved timeline and source video playback performance with up to 20% less CPU load.


The new version MPEG Pro HD 4.0.1 comes with the following fixes and improvements:

* Fixed crash on some systems with Premiere Pro CS4 installed when imported clips where dragged onto the timeline and when exporting single clips through AME.
* Issue with multibyte characters in the export path.
* Fixed a problem that the unlocking with a valid serial number does not work correctly on several systems due to administration rights
* Fixed field order mismatches during export with Premiere Pro CS4

MainConcept MPEG Pro HD 3 is a full-featured MPEG editing solution for Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 and CS3. The plug-in turns MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 editing into a productive, high-quality workflow. It offers many HDV and HDTV project presets for high-definition video editing in its native format. MPEG Pro HD 3 supports the H.264 standard, i.e. you have the opportunity to import as well as export videos in the H.264 format, including presets for AVCHD, Sony PSP and Apple iPod. Moreover, it offers AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) as well as Dolby® Digital import and export. It also includes realtime capture to MPEG (depending on your system's capabilities), smart rendering to save time, and many other powerful features. Beside Sony XDCAM HD support, the new version of MPEG Pro HD 3 now offers full Sony XDCAM EX support allowing import, editing, and export – including smart rendering – with Adobe Premiere Pro. The plug-in includes the ability to capture from several JVC, Canon and Sony HD camcorders. The performance will depend on the PC's capabilities, and a free demo version is available to help users evaluate performance on their own systems. MainConcept MPEG Pro HD 3 can only be used with Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 and CS3 (not included).

The MPEG Pro update v1.0.6 includes the following bug fixes and improvements in the Standard and/or HD version:

- Full support for JVC GY-HD100 High-Definition camcorder
- Timeline render settings were initialized wrongly after project creation (mostly for NTSC default)
- New project templates und export encoder presets: HDV 720p 24 Cine (59,97 fps with 2:3 pulldown) for the JVC GY-HD100 and HDV 720p 25 Cine (50 fps with 2:2 pulldown) for the JVC GY-HD100. For Low resolution HD1 modes we now offer HDV 480p (30fps) for JVC GY-HD10 or JY-HD1, and HDV 576p (50 fps) and HDV 576p 25 Cine (50fps with 2.2 pulldown) for the JVC GR PD1
- HDV 1080i project template no with 1.2 or 1.3 aspect ratio (aspect ratio 1.2 for Adobe Premiere Pro before v1.5.1)
- Now multiple capture files (scene detection) can be imported in the the project bin automatically after stopping the capture process (the option can be disabled). Only available for MPEG
- Timeline rendering crash fixed
- If multiple scenes are captured or files are splitted because the tape contains different formats, this is displayed for the user in a new dialog after stopping the capture process

The MPEG Pro update v1.0.5 includes the following bug fixes and improvements in the Standard and/or HD version:

- Full HDV HD2 (Sony HDR-FX1) support for 1080i, including HD2 capture to native transport or program stream, scene detection (Program Stream only) and playback to tape of program stream or transport stream files
- Capture, batch capture and device control problems have been fixed
- The 2-pass setting is now saved
- Session files for Adobe® Encore™ DVD, so chapter marks can be carried over to Encore
- Seeking timecode position on MPEG tape devices works now (except MMV and DVHS which have no timecode but real time counter)
- Mark In/mark out capture works now
- Incorrect file extensions depending on elementary/program/transport selection

This maintenance release addresses all known issues and adds the ability to export to MPEG tape devices such as Sony MICROMV camcorders and the JVC JY-HD10U High Definition camcorder (HD version of MPEG Pro only).
