Using for extracting SRTs from MKVs. Fully functional and excellent to get rid of the command line.

could only give this average scores for "ease of use" and "functionality" as it has terrible batch processing support. i wish they continued development of mkv cleaver as that has excellent batch functionality. i mean mkvextractgui puts a ? mark next to "batch" for crying out loud. you should be able to just select a list of files to process, pick what you want to extract, point to where you want the processed files to go and then press "start".

Version 2.2.2.8 works great with MKVtoolnix latest version 5.2.1

It does not work when I try to extract just the audio in MKVToolnix 5.2.1

Please disregard the previous message. This is the correct message: Now, when extracting an AC3 audio, it is converted to H264. But keeping the internal properties of AC3 audio, and file with the correct size for the MKVToolnix v5.2.1 For the MKVToolnix v5.2.0 it creates a file H264 in which the audio extraction is 4x greater.

Does not work at all for me with mkvmerge 5.2.1. Gives an error: Access violation at address 004F2DDC in module 'MKVExtractGUI2.exe'. Read of address 0000000c.

Now, when extracting an audio AC3, it is converted to H264. But keeping the internal properties of AC3 audio, and file with the correct size for the MKVToolnix v5.2.0 For the MKVToolnix v5.2.1 was very slow. Also, it creates a file H264 in which the audio extraction is 4x greater.

This workls great for me on XP-SP3. But not until I landed on this page and downloaded from here. All I got from SourceForge was source stuff, with no EXE GUI file. This comment related to my use of MKVExtractGUI2 2.2.2.5 on MKVToolnix 5.1.0.7z portable. Thank you :)

Works on MKVs that the old MKVextractGUI choked on.

The interface can't get more straightforward than this.

Excellent program and no problems on my Windows 7 box

This program doesn't work for me at all. I tried it on three different pc's all with Windows XP Professional and all with exactly the same negative results. The program seems to start ok but then displays a screen with no text messages or instructions whatever (complete unlike the image of what it is supposed to look like. There are unnamed buttons and a strange underlying graphic image. The buttons don't seem to work. Overall - a total waste of time. Hopefully this bug will be fixed in the next version.

"cosmetic stuff"... Boy, I'll say. I can't read anything in the window. I'd be better off trying to figure out the command-lines, myself than use this version. Hopefully, this will get fixed in the next version.

Version 0.10 does it for me: no "0xc0150004" bug anymore!

Works great now, no "0xc0150004" error. Thanks.

Cannot extract AAC.

Following the update to v 1.07 this tool still shows the "0xc0150004" bug. A second error-message indicates: "mkvinfo does not recognise this file", however mkvmerge opens it without any problem.

I've used both version 1.01 and the previous version to extract .sup subtitles from several blurays I ripped to .mkv files using MakeMKV. I didn't have any problems. After reading the previous comment, I tried to extract several video and audio tracks to make sure I wasn't just getting lucky with the subtitles. They were all successful extracted as well. It's nothing fancy, but for me it did what it said it would.

Too bad it doesn't work. Every mkv file I try gives the error: The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150004). Click on OK to terminate the application.
