* Full High Definition (1920 x 1080) * Commonly Used High Definition (1280 x 720) * Standard Definition (640 x 480) * Internet-size Content (320 x 240) * 3G Content (176 x 144, the default) * High Quality (Same Size with Source) * Normal Quality (Same Size with Source) * Fast Speed (Same Size with Source) For H.264, here are some general guidelines: * For a frame size of 1920 x 1080 (full high definition), choose a data rate of 7,000-8,000 Kbps. * For a frame size of 1280 x 720 (commonly-used high definition), choose a data rate of 5,000-6,000 Kbps. * For a frame size of 640 x 480 (standard definition), choose a data rate of 1,000-2,000 Kbps. * For a frame size of 320 x 240 (Internet-size content), choose a data rate of 300-500 Kbps. * For a frame size of 176 x 144 (3G), choose a data rate of 50-60 Kbps for 10-15 fps content, or up to 150-200 Kbps for 24-30 fps content. File Extension for H264 You may come across all kind of file extensions and still the codec can be H264: * .avi - Yes, people use .avi for H264 videos too! * .mp4 - Nero Recode and Quicktime use this format. GPL-violating crapware that uses code from the x264, ffmpeg/libav, mencoder, etc. projects without obeying the terms of their respective licenses. Font face in title bar makes it abundantly clear that this software was produced by your typical fly-by-night "developers" in much the same way as Pavtube software and a thousand other dishonorable mentions. Avoid at all costs.

A VERY easy to use program. Every simple "button pushers" encoding dream. Just choose input, output, a few encoding settings and hit encode. It doesn't get any easier then this. The perfect program if you just want to encode quick and easy. Thumbs up to the author of this proggi.

super easy and straitforward. does not reduce to a desired file size, does not reduce according to specific frame-rate. does not have advanced features (as I guess this is not the purpose for its intended users). It took (1 hour and 7min) to encode a (45 min) video. IMO that's pretty slow, even with 2 pass encodes I was getting slightly faster results. encoded with the 'normal option', the video was cut to 1/2 its size. 700 to 350mb. Basically the converter cut my frame rate from about 2000fps to 1000fps and there was a slight quality sacrifice.

I only have a single issue with this, and that is that the author renamed the ffmpeg.exe that does the actual work to h264encoder.dll, and makes no mention of (or gives any credit to) the ffmpeg project itself.

If Only they add an Optional "Advanced Settings" to Control the Bit-rates and Audio Formats, AAC or Advanced Audio Codec is the Default Audio Codec used for Conversion which is Incompatible in Most Conventional LCD's that Play's H264 MPEG4's, AC3 or MP3 Options should be Added for Audio Codecs.

How simple could it be? Just your select video source, create an output file name, select your choice of encoding settings, and go (encode). Sweet.

I'm a bit surprised that nobody has yet made a comment on this program. This program is as simple as it gets. There aren't any settings to tweak; being that they are built-in to the program. This program may be a disappointment to those who prefer to tinker into the depths of an h264 or x264 encoder but for someone who just wants a no-hassle approach toward encoding, this program is it.
