I was using version 3.5.0.0 and my download speeds from YT were SLOWing down ... so, I thought version 3.5.0.3 might have improved it. Still No Go. I don't know what has happened but Freemake Video Downloader Download Speed it is Not what used to be! :confused: May be FMVD Team can bring back the Fire. Thanks!

Amazing Tool, been using it for a year now. No problems, it has done everything it advertises it will do so far, and does it well. Runs perfect on my Windows 7/64 bit system. Is updated quite regularly. Suggestion: when install, choose "custom" (or whatever the name is)not automatic. It asks you to install tool bars with ads, just don't select it and I see no advertising, tool bars or anything else when I use it. I did opt to help them out by auto-reporting bugs, problems, etc. Come on, something that has this power for free?? Bargain of the decade (my opinion).

Overall I wouldn't recommend this. Easy to use and it does the job. BUT it installs its own funky dll's which don't work well on my win7 system. I try to avoid software that doesn't work properly with Microsoft native codecs. There's no need to do anything else. Of course these guys all blame Microsoft. The hacker's fallback response. Plus it won't uninstall properly. I tried this program on my backup computer. It ain't going near my main one. And, it's adware. I know you can skip the toolbar or whatever during install but I still don't like it. I've never seen this type of software (adware with a prettified interface) work well. Overall, stay away. Stream Transport isn't as intuitive to use but it's a lot more robust.

Surprisingly powerful, I even used it to burn a dual-layer movie backup, did it perfectly even though that feature is not advertised.

Works well for what it says it does. Doesn't have an option to convert to MPG, but does have AVI (in an AVC H.264 flavor that doesn't play in my WMP but does in my VLC) and a few handheld formats, which I guess these days is more useful. Easy to figure out and use. Free and no miserable watermark like that logoware Downloadhelper. Good job on extracting MP3 audio from Youtube videos. As always, pay attention when you install so that you don't unwittingly install a useless toolbar.
