	This is the best capture utility for DV. It has a timer, which WinDV and Stoik don't and is free. The download comes with a .dll file. I am not a computer expert, but it seems that copying this file to the WINDOWS/system32 directory was necessary for the program to function. Highly recommended for those who need reliable capture with a timer. The program is small, CPU usage is low and dropped frames are not a problem. Posted May 22, 2005 by chipsndukes. 	Very nice little program. Using the Preview function, I often use this to watch live Television from my VCR's receiver; the VCR being connected via an ADVC-50. Dropped the ease of use to an 8 because it wasn't immediately apparent how to capture and where to capture to, at my first attempt, but admitedly it didn't take that long to find. Also my only gripe about this program: to capture, you have to come out of Preview and don't get the picture back until you have started recording. Never any dropped frames and never a stopped capture (unless I manage to fill up the hard drive). Posted March 01, 2005 by Cole. 	Nice DV transfer tool to replace WinDV. (The only reason I say that is because WinDV is giving me errors since I've been using it on my new pc. It worked great on my old one. Maybe I'll find the cause soon.) No dropped frames and works great with low memory. I would reccomend both DVapp and WinDV as they're both great applications to transfer DV. 	Next to no documentation, but it's reasonably easy to figure out, and you can't beat the price. Will capture Type 2 so you can work on the resulting files in VirtualDub.
