DVDRemaster is an utility for Mac OS X to recompress large DVDs so that they fit on standard DVD5. DVDRemaster can work in two modes. It can either preserve all tracks or work in "Movie Only" mode where everything but the main feature is discarded. Advanced users will appreciate the Pro version, which lets you choose exactly which video and audio tracks you want to cop.

May 23, 2007:

DVDRemaster 3.4.0 is the result of several bug fixes, including a crash when converting some DVDs with wixed resolutions, better compatibility with third party tools and DVD players, improved support for newer DVD titles and improved compatibility for DVD burning.


News February 9, 2007:

DVDRemaster 3.3.0 was released and includes a few important fixes, including a potential desynchonisation between audio and video and an issue where large temporary files would not be deleted.


December 9, 2006:
DVDRemaster 3.2.0 can now convert to MPEG4 video at 640x480 for outstanding picture quality on your iPod. We also added volume adjustment and fixed an issue with subtitles that would sometimes become out of sync. Also, DVDs with MP3 audio tracks are now fully supported


October 27, 2006:
DVDRemaster 3.1.0 improves in stability. Several issues were resolved with regard to iPod encoding and this version is now up to 10 times faster when used with disks mounted with Fairmount. DVDRemaster 3.1 is bundled with Fairmount 1.0.2 which also include several fixes.


September 6, 2006:
DVDRemaster 3.0.2 is another minor update that fixes a few issues with version 3.0.1. Namely, an issue with the destination path, improved robustness and a fix with AC-3 audio decoding that would crash DVDRemaster under some circumstances

DVDRemaster 3.0.1 is a minor update with a few improvements and bug fixes.


June 26, 2006:
DVDRemaster has been improved again and reached version 3.0. While still being the fastest and most compatible tool around, we bring great new additions such as:

July 23, 2005 DVDRemaster 2.5 has been released.
In addition to a bug fix that prevented some DVDs from being copied, Pro users can now preview which video track they want to remove and change the compression setting for each title set.
