WARNING!!!!!! This program changes Admin registry permissions. (Also read my previous comment.)
Since using this program I had lost the ability to manually change the default player for a given extension within Explorer. For example when I would right click on the video and choose another player it would load and play ok but wouldn't retain that program as the default app even though I told it to. Even after properly removing DAPlayer I was still locked into manually selecting the player program each time I played a video or audio file for many related file types.
HERE'S THE PROBLEM!!!
When it automatically assigns the individual file extensions (ie... ,ts, .m2ts, avi etc...) to itself without asking, DAPlayer also makes the file extension "read only" for the computer Admin accounts within Explorer. This program does not play nice when it's removed since it leaves traces of itself all over the registry and doesn't correct the damage it does to the file assignments. Unfortunately Registry repair tools can't fix this since they wouldn't know that the permissions are wrong so I had to correct each entry manually.
NOTE: If you have this problem and want to try this please backup your registry first and set a clear restore point. If you don't know what you are doing then please ask someone who does.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ FileExts \ .m2ts
Using regedit open to this key and right click on the extension. A panel will open. Select "Administration (PC_Name\Administrators)" (PC_NAME obviously varies) and make sure the Allow Full control check box is ticked then press apply and ok. You will need to verify every video and audio related extension appearing under the key (HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ FileExts \) in the same way. This will now allow you to manually override the default program used to play videos and audio files within Explorer. You might note that it is possible that some other player has already corrected the permissions for some of the common extensions. These are well designed software players that recognize they need Admin privileges to write to the registry and so have turned them back on so that they may be the default player for the particular extension they are assigning to themselves. After acquiring these permission unlike DAPlayer they do not reset them back to read only.
There is more that can be done in the registry such as modifying the OpenWithList but this would turn into a book (lol).
DAPlayer leaves a lot of other trace garbage behind that might be corrected by most Registry repair tools or fixed manually but I wanted to concentrate on this one irritating fix in case it helps someone else or even just warns others from loading this intrusive program.
My score is based solely on Bluray playback and lack of menu visibility. First off I really don't like to knock a developer trying to produce a freeware Bluray player since no other seems to exist at this date.
The program only managed to play one encrypted older Bluray. Even that one was hit and miss. 8 out of 10 times it said it couldn't play the disc it had just played a few seconds earlier and it was movie only with no menus. Hopefully the author will continue to work on this.
Now the real dislikes. It's hard to see the program's menus on my 24" monitor since the font color is a dark orange/yellow/brown on a black background and the font is so small. The program calls home and even though it shows that it can be disabled it ignores the setting and resets to call home on closing. When ZA blocks it, the program hangs for a full minute and then prompts with a error message that needs to be clicked before continuing. Manually removing the link in the ini or renaming the "call home" exe just creates new more annoying errors. The program takes over all the video assignments without asking permission every time you run it so if you intend to keep VLC to play avi you are forced to change it every time. It locked a few times and wouldn't allow itself to be closed and it also left a file called dap.dll in memory on various occasions.
The Ui looks good except for the font and the idea of someone free developing a Bluray player is fantastic but hopefully the author will make the changes to make this tool more user friendly and let the users make decisions about file assignments and updating. Due to the current annoyances I uninstalled the program.
