It should fix issues with "House M.D. Season 4" (R2, DK) The "loop titles" feature from the last beta is now optional. Sponsored tools: Guides and How to's:

Did I miss something, but aren't most of the "New" features for this version the same as for 2.9.2.5? How can they be new in both versions?

I agree with all of the above. It's better than DVDFab.

This is a great tool for copying movies. I would love to see an update soon.

Just a great little program, simple in its genius. It has NEVER failed to rip or to burn. For example, I will get a "Calibration Error" from Nitwit Nero -- which always means that Nero has yet again miscalculated file size. Shut down Nero. Over to CloneDVD. Never a problem. It is fast. It is cheap. It is reliable. What more can one ask? And I love that little Mexican Hat Dance song that blares when the burn is done!

using clone dvd and any dvd has replaced ALL the other burning tools i was using. it even noe features a dvd-r dl function. i don't like buying programmes BUT.....here it is all in colour....just hate that little lam in the upper right corner that will NOT go away even with the right click prompt.

CloneDVD with AnyDVD is simply the best out there. Overall results is superb! CloneDVD is very user friendly and is updated on a regular basis. I have been using this software for the past year with 100%+ burns. Try the trial download and give it a whirl. You won't regret it...I didn't. Two thumbs up!!!

Have a support issue. I sent Slysoft support an issue. I have 2 DL DVD+/-RW drives, an HP TS-H552L Litescribe and a MicroAdvantage 16X8. The MicroAdvantage work fine, but the HP won't recognize a DL disk. They asked for screen prints of the Add/Remove programs list and my proceses from Task Manger. I supplied these and told them that the HP wouldn't recognize DL with CloneDVD/AnyDVD but other software works fine with it. They then asked if I was running Roxio DirectCD or Drag2Disc. I told them yes and re-told them about the HP not recognizing DL. They they said to deactive the Roxio stuff. I did this and stated again that the HP wasn't recognizing DL. Their last response was "So you won't try it. Ok, case closed". Their support was NOT a lot of help

Great software. This and anydvd make backing up a fast one step process. High quality down to 55%. Backs up ANY dvd in about an hour in a one step process. Before this I used dvddecrypter + dvd2one + copytodvd. Better then dvdshrink. Very easy to use. Almost no learning curve.

some people still do not understand that you need anydvd with this....i think its the easiest to use out of all the other software i have used

If i use the ripper in anydvd then i can back to hd and then copy but i would like to be able to just go dvd to dvd as i have 2 burners in my comp.

Basically, this tool plus SlySoft's AnyDVD will allow you to copy any DVD on planet earth - in perfect picture/audio quality. I've shrunk movie-only copies to a DVD-R, I've copied whole discs to DVD+R DLs. All with no problems whatsoever. This is the best and easiest tool I have used. I tested and tried a lot of different tools online (and lurked and read these pages for several months doing research), but this was hands-down the easiest to use and had no learning curve. So easy it's amazing that it works as well as it does.

Without a doubt the best 9>5 transcoder available. You can safely compress to 60% without visual quality loss. Results are indeed better than Dvd Shrink under heavy compression. It's much faster, also. Do not hesitate; Clonedvd2 is money well spent.

I was not able to back up Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus sold in Brazil using CloneDVD 2 latest version...

Earlier version had no problem at all. Latest version does not perform as well and creates coasters. Tried 3 time and gave up. Went back to using earlier V.

Hi!! This tool is awesome!!! Super-fast, the quality is great and it's repairing possible authoring errors on original DVD's, that can be used as copy protection (for example "The Aviator PAL"...when I tried it with Nero or Shrink, they simply says, that the dvd structure is invalid and over). With using DVDFab Decrypter for ripping and Nero for burning, this is a perfect tool. I like the transcoding system very much (it just lowers the original curve of bitrate for desired percentage - that means no analyzing and super fast encoding and all parts of the movie have the same compression)!! That's the way, which Nero and others should go.

In a spirit of fairness, I want to note that today Elby answered my support request, so please ignore my previous complaint re: support. Jeff Lowenthal

Nice program which worked fine until I upgraded to this version. Now writes coasters 2 times out of 3 to media I had been using with NO coasters previously. (Same spindles too--TDK 4X (Taiwan-Costco)and Taiyo Yuden 8x (RIMA).) Now get write errors about 30 seconds into the burn. (Pioneer 108, 1.20 firmware.) My real complaint is with "support". After two emails and two weeks, still no reply.

Wonderful program! This is coming from someone who goes back to the days of X-Copy and X-Copy Xpress. CloneDvd, in conjunction with AnyDVD, provides the easiest (in my opinion), to date, way to back up a movie. It is ridiculously simple. Newbies might have some what of hard time in the beginning identifying what files they would not want to include in the final version of the back-up but most are not going to have that problem. Also, there are wonderful guides on the net and in this very own site that provide excellent assistance. I would also have to agree with an earlier poster who hinted that with too much compression you are probably going to notice a difference to which I agree. Although you would have to compress pretty low (under 60%) to see any noticeable difference b/w orignal and copy. Worth every penny; definately recommend.

bugged. If you backup a dvd with say 2 Audio Tracks 1.dts and audio track 2.ac3/2 (5.1) then select choosse audio track 2 as default it will always select track 1.dts even if track 2.ac3 chosen as the default audio preference. So no matter how many audio tracks you want to backup with the dvd whatever Clone dvd lists as audio track 1 will always be the default audio track.

DVD shrink step aside, not only is clone dvd easier to use, picture quality is fantastic. clonedvd needs a decrypter, I've been using dvd decrypter

Think program, in conjunction with AnyDVD or a similar program is very good for most movies. I really like the way it deals with unwanted extras. If it could do the same with menu titles (like the 30 second long Disney Digital intro for starters) it would get a 9 from me. The compression engine is okay, and it is much faster than Shrink, but I still prefer Shrink for higher compression scenarios. For example, the extended version of the Two Towers looked pretty bad using Clone, but looked almost perfect using Shrink and was thus worth (to me) the extra 87 minutes. Shrink also lets you replace menu titles with stills - you can replace the 3 or more minutes of fluff with "Please Press Menu Now", because the prohibitions are removed. For cartoons or 75% and higher quality, Clone is fine.

Could not agree with the last post more.Fantastic speed(12minutes to transcode),quality and ease of use.

I much prefer this program to any other, including DVD Shrink. It is so simple to use, there's hardly any settings you have to configure and the resulting DVD files produced are of excellent quality.I can hardly tell the difference between the original DVD files and the compressed ones. The program is fast and reliable.I have no complaints whatsoever. Great software, recommended.

The burning engine on this thing sucks. I've tried several versions of clonedvd and half the time I'll get writing errors saying I may have bad media or it will write but I"ll get a lot of digital arifacts on playback. VERY IFFY!! I'll use the same media (DVD+RW) and use DVD2one and copy2dvd and they work everytime, never a coaster. The only good thing about Clonedvd is the interface, but what good is that if it doesn't burn properly. I'll tried about every software and I always go back to DVD2one and copy2dvd.

I have tried a lot of other programs but this is by far the best. Just run anydvd in the background and use dvdcopy2 to backup any dvd you have. All the other programs i used would take about 3-4 hours from start to finish. This setup takes only 1 hour from start to finish. The quality of the dvd backup is awesome. You can get them both from http://www.slysoft.com for around $70.00 and its worth every penny.
