* We have added a new major feature to the recording module :
Set Recording Length (shortcut key ALT-C)
This feature is very useful when you manually start a recording and you can not stay near your computer till your favorite show ends, so just set the desired recording duration and ChrisTV PVR will take care of your recording. You can also use the adjust recording duration feature for scheduled task that already run. Please note that this feature is not supported for background recording mode.
* ChrisTV Sleep Timer feature has been improved, now you can configure the sleep timer to :
o Close ChrisTV
o Shutdown the Computer
o Activate Standby Mode
o Activate Hibernate Mode.

You will be able to use up to 4 (four) video capture devices with ChrisTV PVR. This feature will allow you to watch your favorite TV channel using 1 TV card and record another channel(s) with the other TV card(s) that you have installed on your PC.
* Background/Silent recording
ChrisTV PVR will record your favorite TV show in background with no video/sound preview, minimized in systray. Feature available for Hardware MPEG Recording, Software MPEG Recording and AVI Recording.

* We are introducing a new major feature ChrisTV TimeShift. TimeShift lets you freeze the live TV stream, giving you a break while is still recording. By TimeShift recording you can fast-forward through commercials and even create your instant-replay on a live TV program.
* There are 3 Timeshift Running Modes :
o Using software DV Encoder ( with high CPU usage and larg size for buffer file )
o Using software MPEG Encoder ( only MPEG Intervideo Encoder 3 is supported for the moment )
o Using hardware MPEG Encoder ( available only for TV Cards with MPEG Hardware Encoding Module )
Note : ChrisTV TimeShift feature works only under Windows XP (MCE) with SP1 or higher.
* For software encoding TV Cards there is the option to mute the Preview Live Sound while in TimeShift Mode ( in Program Settings->ChrisTV Settings->Mute Preview Sound while using TimeShift )
* You can customize the TimeShift Buffering Time duration between 1 and 300 minutes ( while in trial mode the maximum duration is fixed to 35 minutes ).

Version 4.00 of this suite of products includes the well known ChrisTV Standard and ChrisTV Professional. ChrisTV Lite is the new member of this suite, coming as a FREEWARE for non-commercial use. ChrisTV Standard and ChrisTV Professional are available as shareware with 30 days FREE trial period.
ChrisTV can be controlled from now on easily also through the ChrisTV Skinnable Control Panel introduced in order to help our Users to TAKE control OVER their TV Cards, with just a simple mouse click.
In order to configure ChrisTV and optimize your TV Card settings a Configuration Wizard has been added in Professional and Standard versions.
Now you can record live TV or convert your favourite VHS Tapes directly to MPEG 1 or MPEG 2 files, by using the MPEG Recording Module ( Registered MPEG 1/2 filters required to be installed) with many recording presets ( for example DVD, SVCD, VCD etc. )

ChrisTV Scheduler has been improved and offers our users the option to choose the Scheduled task type between : Once, Daily and Weekly. Also you are able to set the name for the recorded file.
Once : the scheduled task will be only once, at the specified time and date.
Daily : the task will occur each day or at specified days interval, at the specified time and date.
Weekly : you can choose the day of the week when you want to schedule the task.
ChrisTV Agent has been optimized to work with the new scheduler features.

The Channels Settings window can now be resized, in order for the user to see all channels settings from the list.
Added the feature to use custom TV Icons/Logos, if you want to find the TV Icon faster just type their name in the tv logo edit box.
In order to add custom tv icons, you have to place your favourite TV Icon (picture format: BMP, 32x16), into ChrisTVTV Icons" folder and restart ChrisTV to refresh the icon list.
You can now select for each channel if it's active (favorite) or not. In the Channels List Popupmenu only active channels will be listed, also the up/down arrow keys (channel +/-) will navigate only through the Active/Favorite Channels ( but this feature can be disabled, if you want, in Program Settings->ChrisTV Settings).

Recording feature has been added to ChrisTV, you can use any video/audio compression codec installed on your PC.
Standard version will record only from TV Tuner Capture Devices.
Professional version will record from any Capture Devices installed, like TV Cards, Webcams, Video (TV) In Cards, Cameras.
Added Radio-FM support (works only on TV Cards with RadioFM support)- still experimental - if you set a FM Frequency that you know it works and is only noise (no proper sound) then choose in Audio Input box between Tuner In or Line In (for each radio station).
Now you can add as channel the composite input and s-video input.

Version 4.00 of this suite of products includes the well known ChrisTV Standard and ChrisTV Professional. ChrisTV Lite is the new member of this suite, coming as a FREEWARE for non-commercial use. ChrisTV Standard and ChrisTV Professional are available as shareware with 30 days FREE trial period.
ChrisTV can be controlled from now on easily also through the ChrisTV Skinnable Control Panel introduced in order to help our Users to TAKE control OVER their TV Cards, with just a simple mouse click.
In order to configure ChrisTV and optimize your TV Card settings a Configuration Wizard has been added in Professional and Standard versions.
Now you can record live TV or convert your favourite VHS Tapes directly to MPEG 1 or MPEG 2 files, by using the MPEG Recording Module ( Registered MPEG 1/2 filters required to be installed) with many recording presets ( for example DVD, SVCD, VCD etc. )
In ChrisTV Professional you can customize the MPEG Recording Settings such as MPEG type, video & audio bitrate, frame size, frame rate etc.
Video Frame Cropping filter for AVI and MPEG recording has been added to let ChrisTV users crop the video frame to a specified frame size or to remove undesirable frame lines in the captured files (available in Professional version only)
ChrisTV Scheduler has been improved and offers our users the option to choose the Scheduled task type between : Once, Daily and Weekly. Also you are able to set the name for the recorded file.
Once : the scheduled task will be only once, at the specified time and date.
Daily : the task will occur each day or at specified days interval, at the specified time and date.

The Channels Settings window can now be resized, in order for the user to see all channels settings from the list.
Added the feature to use custom TV Icons/Logos, if you want to find the TV Icon faster just type their name in the tv logo edit box.
In order to add custom tv icons, you have to place your favourite TV Icon (picture format: BMP, 32x16), into ChrisTVTV Icons" folder and restart ChrisTV to refresh the icon list.
You can now select for each channel if it's active (favorite) or not. In the Channels List Popupmenu only active channels will be listed, also the up/down arrow keys (channel +/-) will navigate only through the Active/Favorite Channels ( but this feature can be disabled, if you want, in Program Settings->ChrisTV Settings).
The channel switch time has been improved, it's faster than ever :).

Starting with version 3.50, ChrisTV is no longer a freeware software :( It's shareware, check the purchase page on www.chris-tv.com for details.
Recording feature has been added to ChrisTV, you can use any video/audio compression codec installed on your PC.
Standard version will record only from TV Tuner Capture Devices.
Professional version will record from any Capture Devices installed, like TV Cards, Webcams, Video (TV) In Cards, Cameras.
Added Radio-FM support (works only on TV Cards with RadioFM support)- still experimental - if you set a FM Frequency that you know it works and is only noise (no proper sound) then choose in Audio Input box between Tuner In or Line In (for each radio station).
Now you can add as channel the composite input and s-video input.
Added Image Processing Filter (only available in ChrisTV Professional version), it will not work in recording mode for the moment. You can apply video effects : red, green, blue, darken, invert, blur, gray, and emboss effects.

More than 200 TV logos.
4 New language files have been added to ChrisTV package : Danish ( Thanks to Payne ), French ( Thanks to BlindMan & Drizzt ), Spanish (Thanks to Sergio Baretto), Ukrainian (Thanks to Andrew aka "Palych" Burtyk & Alezz).
A lot of improvements & fixes were made.

Introducing Support for DScaler Deinterlace Plugin for a better image quality, but with greater CPU Usage (module still in testing)
ChrisTV detects now if the current channel is received stereo or mono.
Extended the Mouse Wheel support - Middle button navigates through bottom property bars and with a single click on the bar you can change the image or sound property.
OSD Panel is available again and can be used only if "Use Video Renderer Mixer (VMR-9)" option is enabled.
Image Capturing and Mozaic Mode are available for all video rendering modes(Overlay, Video Mixing Renderer, and normal video rendering).
Teletext Mode is now available, but might still not work at the moment with all TV Cards.
New functions added : Zoom, Aspect Ratio, Predefined Video Window Sizes.
New TV Logos added : 50 (Thanks to Csabi), 5 (Thanks to Ramon D Diaz ), 4 (Thanks to Neil Clark).
5 New language files have been added to ChrisTV package : Czech (Thanks to Jan Drbohlav), Polish (Thanks to ARtek), Russian (Thanks to Bizov Andrey), Italian (Thanks to Andrea Bonaiuto), Turkish (Thanks to Erdem TEKSEN).
