Asfjoin has been has been a very useful tool for me for the past 5 years and I was concerned that I wouldn't work for me after upgrading to Windows 7. Fortunately, it works under Windows 7, I just have to remember to run it as Administrator. Many thanks to the author of this wonderful tool.

Unfortunately it does not work under Windows Vista Home Premium. In a sense, that's ok, because the homepage says it has been tested only under Windows 98 !! and Windows XP. Not a single mention, of any mean, to Vista. However, tried to send an e-mail to the address provided for support, just to report it, but mails are returned with the following note, because mailbox does not exist! This is the Postfix program at host mailrecv04.ifrance.com. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. For further assistance, please send mail to If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message. The Postfix program : unknown user: "asfjoin" Too bad!

Superb! Before using this tool i tried all sorts of other tools like EasyJoiner, Boilsoft, SuperJoiner but for me this is is exactly what I needed. The other tools attempt to re-encode previously split files which do not need re-encoding, as a result they are slow and invariably fail. Needless to say I will be removing them from my PC. AsfJoin simply, well how can I put it, joins the files. It is lossless and you get what you put in. Nice work and 10 points all round!
