AVI2ClipboardNO LONGER DEVELOPED |
AVI2Clipboard is a small freeware utility that saves information from AVI videos to the clipboard. This is handy if you want to post AVI information on websites, forums or make a database of your video collection. AVI2Clipboard adds an entry to your Explorer context menu, which will only show when you right-click on a file with an .avi extension.

RedDwarfer, that "bug" was fixed more than 6 months ago. There was one required file that was not included in the installer, because according to Microsoft it should automatically be installed with Windows. Apparently that file is not always automatically installed with Windows, so it was added to the installer months ago. The only site hosting the updated installer was the main site, but it's down and probably won't come back. The installer hosted here is 1,29MB, while the updated one is 1,70MB. I'll see if I can get a direct download for the updated installer and submit it here. Btw, this tool does NOT work on Vista.

A nice tool when it works. I have two PC's and it works correctly on one but not on the other. On the 2nd PC it will not show any windows such as file information or settings. It does work with the clipboard. It could be a problem with the way windows are setup/opened that is causing the problem on some setups as it is getting the information - it can be pasted from the clipboard. If the bugs could be resolved it would be a very good utility.

This is a very nice little tool, and I find it much easier to use than GSpot. One bug I've noticed is that when batch-saving to .txt files, the filesizes for all the .avi's are diplayed as the same value. It would also be nice to be able to 'View avi Info' for more than one file at a time. Overall an excellent little appy!

This is a very nice tool. I've been using it for about two weeks now and what I like about it, is that it works in a "send to.." way. You only have to right-click on the AVI you want to get the information from. I've noticed on a very few occasions where a video had some corruption or wasn't splitted correctly, some of the information shown was not correct, but that's not a real big deal. It would've been nice if it showed information like qpel and gmc as well, but when it comes to ease of use or clarity of the information shown, it's one of the best codec finders I've used.

Had to give this 10's across the board.Personally, I find this much faster than opening Gspot and this tool gives you more info of your file.A single right click on your file ( .AVI ) is all it takes.
