Version history / Release notes / Changelog:
VSDC Free Video Editor Comes Up with More Audio Options
July 1, 2015

Flash-Integro announces a new version of VSDC Free Video Editor 3.2. The acclaimed video processing tool now features a number of options to enhance audio editing as well. In particular, the new version introduces waveforms for audio and video objects for precise audio handling, visual editing of audio effects, and flexible volume control.

An easy-to-use, massively visual, feature-rich free video editing tool for home use – that’s the first impression VSDC Free Video Editor makes. Indeed, the software, while being 100% free, offers a lot of functions often found in professional video editing apps only. Non-linear video editing, subpixel precision, flexible object behavior, and tons of visual effects combine to create robust and effortless creation or editing of video at home. The new VSDC Free Video Editor 3.2 aims to deliver more audio editing options too.

Eugene Hapov, the CEO at Flash-Integro comments: “Audio is a natural part of any movie, clip, or home video. In the new release we decided to put the focus on giving our users more audio editing options”.

The central part of the new release is waveforms. The new version displays waveforms for audio and video objects to allow a user to accurately match them and edit as a whole. For instance, the user can now easily strip out silent fragments of a video or apply an effect to the given fragment with utter accuracy. And the audio effects (few dozens are available) can be edited visually now for an even better result. Among other novelties in the new version is more flexible control over sound volume. Now the volume can rise and fall linearly or non-linearly and even in an arbitrary combination of linear and curve parts. The option will come in handy when underscoring dramatic moments of a video or making soft audio transitions.

In spite of its vast functionality, VSDC Free Video Editor demonstrates extreme user friendliness and straightforwardness. Almost all video editing tasks are made visually in the tool by means of various Wizards. At the same time, the app allows for precise fine-tuning for those users who want to be in full control of the video timeline and effects.

I've tried about 15 other video editors. So far yours seems the best, unless you want more technical effects like Blender.
I have one big suggestion, change your name and tagline. I worked in product naming for a year, you need to make a more marketable product name, VSDC is not memorable. I can suggest a few more;
Viday, Vid, Vido, Veditor ,Vedor.

I find your software the best freeware out there. I compare it to Premiere at times :) and always recommend it whenever people ask.

Please continue working on Preview time as that's important, the update helped a little bit.

Oh and the last thing I want to talk about is when you copy & paste a file from a different project. It usually always copies, but not to the exact same spot, it'll always be a bit out both left and down (I think they're the directions), and this is a problem at times. Nothing major, but it would help the video process run smoother.

Thanks for reading

I found this video editor to be extremely easy to use. Everything is clearly labeled and easily accessible. It is set up so that most tools only involve pointing and clicking to reach your destination. We didn't have any problems understanding the process and were able to jump right into editing video files within minutes of downloading the software.

tested pretty well :)

The installer will try to download something called "Delta TB".
The EULA says "internet connection required to register product"
Sounds like a DANGEROUS Scam.
Stay Far Away!

I´ll think twice before installing an app with EULA like this : " The installer you are about to initiate uses the Conduit Ltd. network to recommend other software you may find valuable during installation of this software. By proceeding with this installation, you agree that Conduit may collect and use *NON personally identifiable* information about THIS installation (like: install initiated and completed, operating system and language, and country) as well as whether the software recommendation was accepted or not. Collection of such information by Conduit will ONLY occur during this installation and the recommendation process...By installing our software you agree to install the toolbar created by Conduit Ltd. (see Conduit End-User License Agreement below)."
Same EULA is in other 2 products : VSDC Free Video Converter v2.4.3.263 and VSDC Free Audio Converter v1.6.3.333 .

The current version of the program is 1.2.2 (not 1.2.1). The program is indeed free. The previous 1.2.1 version was also free, but it had a bug where a pop-up window would ask for a license key upon saving the final project. Believe the publisher was originally planning to release this as a paid program, but later changed their mind. If you run into this window, just ignore it and close it. You'll never see it again, and the program will run just fine.

As for reviewing the program, this is one of the few free video editors that are capable of chroma-key (green screen) editing, along with picture-in-picture/split-screen editing. Additionally, it will work and save in just about any format/container/codec/resolution that you want, including HD. No watermarks, no trials, the program is fully functioning. I did bump it in my rating for ease of use, as it's not very intuitive to use. But recommend giving it another try if you passed on this. I think you'll like it.

It is not free. The version I down loaded had little functionality, they want you to buy a license.
