DVD Rebuilder Pro Basic Operations

There are two versions of DVD-RB - free and Pro. As the name implies, DVD-RB Free doesn''t cost anything. The trade off is that it lacks many features found in DVD-RB Pro, such as handling DVDs with multiple angles and making Movie-Only backups. Additionally, DVD-RB Pro gives yoiu much better tools to customize each backup. Even if you plan to buy DVD-RB Pro it''s a good idea to start with the free version to evaluate the quality of backups for yourself.

How to edit menu without complete reauthoring

When parts of DVD are removed it is quite natural to disable menu buttons linking to the removed parts. Once it was a rather complicated procedure, but now one can easily delete a menu button using DvdReMake so that it can't be selected. It is a simple procedure but unfortunately button graphics is still visible as it is a part of the menu video.

How to put two full DVDs to one DVD preserving original menus

Starting with ver 2.6 DvdReMake Pro can be used to merge 2 full dvds. This means FULL - keeping original menus, languages, everything. It is a "one click" procedure that can be done without any knowledge of the DVD structure. When played merged disk will show a start up menu asking what disk you would like to go to. After that selected disk will play as if it is the only one on the DVD. At any time during playback pushing "title menu" on the remote will take you to this start up menu.

How to insert chapter into DVD movie keeping menus

There are quite many cases when you want to have more chapters on the disk than it was in the original DVD. Say, chapters were inserted automatically by dvd recorder at some weird places or DVD was authored in a way that there is a huge chapter and you would like to be able to use your remote to go to some particular scene inside this chapter. Until recently it was a task close to impossible, as it required a very good knowledge of DVD structure and how DVD navigation works. And even then you would have to spend hours editing your disk. Starting with DvdReMake Pro 2.5.1 it is possible to insert programs to a pgc and chapters to titles. Together with implemented earlier "split cell" this allows DRM Pro user to insert a chapter point into movie with just few mouse clicks.

The dummies guide to a perfect DVD backup

Why the hell should someone write yet another guide? Can’t you find hundreds of them in the Internet? If you go to sites like DOOM9 and AfterDawn you will be faced with endless guides on how to do it, and people will swear on their grandmother’s graves that their method are the best. They might be right. However, based on weeks of research in which sleep became a rare commodity, I finalized the way I backup DVD and all my friends agree with me that this is indeed the best quality backups. In this guide I will try to share “my way” of backing up a DVD. If you will keep in mind the fact that there is no perfect “holy grail” for that, and remember that this is “my quest” and “my favorite color”, then, I hope you will enjoy it.

Merge previously split DVDs with DvdReMake Pro

In this guide we will show how to merge two DVD disks which were created when one DVD9 was split into two DVD5 disks. Of course splitted disks had menus and we would like to keep menus (chapters selection, etc) in merged disk. Just to illustrate that DvdReMake can handle multiangle DVDs we will use multiangle disk (StarWars Episode II: "Attack of the Clones") as an example.

DvdReMake - remove language or aspect ratio selection menu

Quite many DVDs have a menu screen on startup asking to choose aspect ratio or language. Depending on the selected menu item corresponding part of the DVD will be played. Often customized DVD backups don't contain complete DVD content and it is desired to have one of menu items "selected automatically" without presenting a selection menu. This guide will show how easyly it can be done with DvdReMake.

DvdReMake - Strip Down A DVD

Having a backup of my dvd collection is relatively straight forward these days with various programs available to compress the disc content. But because i own the original - i don't want to be bothered by having to watch trailers that can only be fast forwarded through (increasingly common with Universal DVDs), warnings about copyright in every european language, and the same studio logo repeated throughout the process of trying to get to watch the film!
