Hi all

I have a 1080p version of the matrix being played on WMP11 from my computer onto my 40" samsung lcd

it was a bit jurky so I down loaded a few codecs etc, now for some reason I have subtitles across the screen

I have tried, alt--shift--C and turned them off in the menu but they are still there..

they wernt there before i down loaded a few codecs ?????

anyone now how to turn them off.......

ps, my daughter is fond of hitting the keyboard, has she turn them on some how maybe???????

1080p in what container? mkv? Then I would play using Media PLayer Classic instead and you can disable the subs from Navigate->Subtitle Language or Play->Subtitles or Play->Filters->filename.mkv->No subtitles

But if you prefer WMP then do you see any icons in the taskbar notification area? Then can you right click on they and disable the subtitles.

You might look into Media Player Classic Home Cinema as it's set up for HD. Most times I can barely get WMP11 to work well with anything other than WMV. :(
