rotus:
Socks says it best

twosocks :
Q: What is a DSL file?
Damaged Sector List.
When MTR (in Legacy+ engine only) encounters damaged sectors it logs them and at the end of the rip creates a file (DSL) that it places in the ripped movie folder along side the VIDEO_TS

but I'm curious, this would only appear on RIPPED commercial discs,
not on actual store bought commercial discs....

thanks for the double reply

Ive looked into it and one of the discs out of 5 was 'ripped' and replaced as the original was damaged.

the question is, will they play normally?

wouldnt want to get to episode 82 and not find out what happened!

thanks

if the person ripping and backing it up knew what they were doing,
then you should be fine.

If they didn't , well then you'll soon find out....:-)

terryj posted 2008 Aug 24 14:08
what I mean by that rotus, is that you'll only find out
by playing the dvd.

no real way to "test" it other than THAT way.....
