| It seems like whenever I open a x264 MKV file with subtitles with Media Player Classic, the program would stall and crash. It would work sometimes but most of the times, it would crash.
I am guessing the problem comes from the fact that I'm using Haali Renderer in MPC because if I switch to VMR9, everything would run perfectly except for the washed out images which I really can't stand. Haali Renderer gives me the best looking images that is why I am sticking with it. If I tell DirectVobSub to "Do not load" then there is no problem. I already unchecked "Auto-load subtitles" in MPC but I don't think that is the real issue. I've got the following codecs installed: CoreAVC ffdshow (disabled for H264) AC3Filter |

| Are you using latest haali media splitter and vsfilter?
Does it work if you use ffdshow for h264? |

| Exact same problem with ffdshow. :(
I'm using the latest versions for both Haali Media Splitter and VSFilter. Selecting Overlay Mixer seems to work best for me. What are the differences between Haali Renderer, Overlay Mixer and the other renderers? Does any of them render pictures better than the others? |
