Video rendering rate?

capman21 posted 2007 May 09 22:46
Guys I am converting a dv file to xvid, and usually only two filters I use are resize and smart deinterlace. The video rendering rate usually goes between 1.2-2.0 fps as its encoding to xvid. Well this time I am using four filter..resize, smart deinterlace, msu denoiser, and brightness/contrass. The video rendering rate is like 0.0-1.1 fps. Why? Does it being this slow effect the quality of the vid?

2 reasons, primarily - 1) Deinterlacing is a very CPU intensive process 2) Vdub filters are pretty darned slow.

The speed of the conversion has no effect on the quality of the output.
