USB AV Capture (with Compro Videomate C200) | ||||

| I have a Compro Videomate C200 USB AV capture 'stick' that I would like to use in Ubuntu Linux.
Perhaps I have become too accustomed to Linux working with 'Plug n Play', but unfortunately it didn't happen for this device. When I plug it in I obtain the following messages from dmesg and lsusb: dmesg
lsusb
I believe that this means that the device is being recognised, but I can't find it listed anywhere as a capture device in programmes such as Audacity. Although I am only interested in sound at this stage, hopefully any answers will resolve possible future problems with Video capture. Is there a utility I need to run/use in order to make use of this device in general, or at least a method by which I can use it from the command line? Rgs |
