[urgent] FLV to VCD ??

ming2194 posted 2008 Jun 27 22:37
i have a flv file and i want to burn it on a disc which can play on a vcd player.
so what should i do?

i have searched some information about that and many guys said to convert flv to vcd, i should convert flv to some video format each as mpg or dat to do so.

but i wonder that are there any software can directly convert flv to vcd without quality losings.

or anyone can suggest me the best software to make flv to vcd?( the most important thing is lossless.)
THANKS all guys.

First, there's no such thing as a lossless conversion from one format into VCD. MPEG1 is a lossy codec, so you cannot avoid loss. Impossible. The best you can do is lose the minimum amount allowed. See http://forum.videohelp.com/topic259578.html for an earlier discussion of how to convert flv into mpg.

Remember that VCD has specific bitrate and resolution values that you must observe to produce a compliant VCD, so be sure to use those values in your conversion.

Once you finish that step, you can use a tool like VCDeasy to author a VCD from your MPEG1. Then burn your disc and enjoy!

Super is a very easy to use tool that can convert FLV to VCD. tomlee59 is 100% correct - VCD is a lossy format, so any program you use to convert FLV to VCD will have some loss.
