| Hey, I am new here and I am trying to make some Anime DVDs. I want to have subtitles and 2 audio tracks (english and Japanese), the subtitle files I have (.srt) wont show up at all. How do I convert the subtitle file to something TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 will recognize?
TheLaserdisc EDIT: I use VirtualDUBmod to get the audio and subtitle files. Which makes the files look like this 1 00:00:27,660 --> 00:00:28,922 How do you like this building? 2 00:00:29,763 --> 00:00:31,890 Is this a cool place or what? I did a test file and this came out [LayoutData] "Picture bottom layout",4,Tahoma,0.1,17588159451135,0,0,0,0,1,2,0,1,0.005,0 "Picture top layout",4,Tahoma,0.1,17588159451135,0,0,0,0,1,0,0,1,0.005,0 "Picture left layout",4,Tahoma,0.1,17588159451135,0,0,0,0,0,1,1,1,0.005,0 "Picture right layout",4,Tahoma,0.1,17588159451135,0,0,0,0,2,1,1,1,0.005,0 [LayoutDataEx] 1,0 1,0 1,0 1,1 [ItemData] 1,1,"00:23:31,530","00:23:36,530",0,Kite I hope that helps |

| TMPGENc dvd author supports srt but not all, see http://forum.videohelp.com/topic335908.html#1750003
Or convert to dvd using something else like convertxodvd, add the srt and the video and convert. |

| Well I figured it out
Step 1) Demux the subtitle file in VirtualDubMod, in ACSII mode Step 2) Open the .srt file in VobSub, SubResync mode Step 3) Save as, (keep the same file name) uncheck "Unicode Output" Step 4) Open the subtitle file in TMPGEnc DVD Step 5) Lower the size of the subs from 10 to 7 also if you are demuxing .ogg files with virtualdubmod, dont run it in batch mode, you will get bad results. |
