Streaming with TVersity and AC3 audio

Igniss posted 2009 Oct 23 16:36
Ive got this avi file the video is Xvid MPEG4 the audio is 5.1 AC3.
When i play it on my pc it plays fine without trouble, when i want to stream it it gives an error that it cant play, the issue has been narrowed down to the AC3 part.

I used ffdshow but now i disabled AC3 in there and use AC3Filter instead but it still doesnt work. If i check the SPDIF(passthrough) in the settings it will work but it will go out of sync because the video is transcoded when synced.

So i heard about this program graphedit, downloaded that, and it can play the streamed url with audio, yet wmp (on same pc) or ps3 cant play it.

Any ideas?

Maybe try stream using the PS3 Media Server. Yep, it's named ps3 but it should work for the xbox360 too.

I guess you have tried searched in http://forums.tversity.com/ ? And maybe ask there also.

Yup also made a post there but the only replies i got so far where directed to problems with the sound itself not the soundcodec (like suggestions of changing khz etc etc)

EDIT:
i must admit im not sure how graphedit handles the url cause if it first copies the entire file thats the reason why it loads in there, because if i open the url in wmp and let it copy the file it also plays fine its only the actual streaming that gives a problem
