| Is this a home router ?
The more details you give, the more likely you are to get an answer. If we have to drag every detail out of you then we are likely to just give up. If it is a home router then you might look at VLC, and also port forwarding, as a starting point |

| You will have to set up port forwarding on your router for the port you will stream on. See portforward.com for instructions on many different routers. Start streaming with VLC on that port. The other PC attaches to your IP address and port (nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn:ppp). Note : this is the IP address of the router as provided by the ISP, not the IP address of the PC that is actually streaming.
You should not have to turn any firewalls off to do this. |
