Slower conversion with Windows 7?

| maybe i am just going crazy, but i have noticed since switching to Windows 7, my video files -> DvD conversions have seemed to slowed down by about 10minutes, from around 10 to 20. perhaps it is because I did not install drivers for my cpu/chipset when i upgraded? I'm not sure how much this would effect it.
anyone else noticed this?

| You will need those mobo chipset drivers at least.
Go to your mobo support site and get Vista/Win7 drivers.

you didn't install the chipset drivers?!? what did you do, just use the drivers that came with win 7? install the latest chipset drivers (the proper drivers make a huge difference) and depending on how maby cores your cpu has use should also set the /numproc parameter to match (msconfig, under the boot options). |
