| Hi all-
My samsung sh-s203b DVD writer no longer appears when I double click on 'My Computer' as an active device. It does show in device manager as working properly though! Any one else have this problem before? Thanks, Mark | ||

| Yes, something very similar happened to me a few weeks ago. I had to send my drive back to Newegg.com for a replacement. | ||

check to see that your sata cable is secured and/or use another sata cable before RMA'ing the drive. | ||

Turns out is was a firmware update, sb203, that brought it back to life! Mark |
