is there a data based program available which i can load my music video film clips into, then do a search and queue files to play in media player classic. The files are vobs, mkv and mp4 files which all play in mpc.i would like to use a program which i can search with and queue the files, in xp media centre edition. i will use a monitor to queue up files while videos are being played on hd tv. any help would be good. thanks in advance.

i would like to change the question. is there a program that i can search and queue files from a folder , and then play the music videos in mpc. amf multimedia jukebox lets you cue files but it uses its own player, and doesernt play full screen.all i need is a software program to search and queue, and play in my selected player. thanks in advance

I was just looking through Media Player Classic and it has a play list queue that you can add files into.
Clicking [File->Open File] and then checking 'add to play list without opening' will store whatever files you open.
To open the play list just go under 'VIEW' or pressing 'CTRL+7'
You can even drag and drop items onto the play list.

Hope that helps.

thanks for that i managed to get it working.now i need to know will this program work on a monitor , so as when i queue up files it doesernt interfere with video clips already playing on hd tv, via media centre computer. what do other people use to play music videos , useing dual monitor , to queue files while videos are playing. vobs, mkv, avi, and mp4 files mainly.software doesernt have to be free, as im looking for something that will do the job, jukebox style software. mpc will suit me if it works on a dual monitor. thanks in advance.

What do you mean by works on dual monitors??? Play two videos at same time on different monitors?

Nordbeat should work for you.

http://www.nordbeat.com/dnn/default.aspx

It has dual monitor support.

regarding dual monitors i mean, a monitor connected to my media centre computer, which is connected via a hdmi lead to hd tv.so while a music video is playing on the tv, i can queue in more video clips on the monitor without interrupting the video already playing.hopefully this is possible.

nordbeat doesernt support video files, but thanks anyway for your input.

You can use VLC Media Player(it supports everything) with a web interface, start vlc and enable it under Settings > Add Interface > Web Interface and then can you control the playlist from the first monitor in your browser. I guess you can use a web interface for MPC(options->player->web interface) also.

Example:

I don't know what kind of video files you are using but I can assure you it supports avi and mpg as I have the program and have ran music videos on it.
I believe that demo is free if you want to try it.

I have a large selection of music vidoes in various formats (AVI, VOB,MKV etc). Some I have downloaded and some I have made using my video capture card. I currently play all my music videos throu Windows Media Player classic on a central PC in my house.

I am looking for a piece of software that will allow friends to access/see all the videos I have available...then allow then to Que several up to listen to without effecting the current videos playing. An example of what I am looking to do is:

I want to que up say 20 music videos to play on the hd television via htpc computer. Then I would like to allow someone to go to the PC (while the original 20 videos are still playing) and select 5 videos and be able to easily add them to play next in line.

Currently using Windows Media player classic I que up several videos. Then someone goes to the PC, minmizes Windows media player classic, selects a few videos and set them to add to the current playlist and then they resize Windows Media player classic to full screen. Which is all well and good untill someone forgets to select Add to current playlist and accidently selects play now...killing the previously selected videos waiting to play

what software do people use to play mkv, vob, mp4 and avi music videos. must be able to search and queue up video clips , with dual monitor support, so i can queue, or friends can queue, music videos while music videos are playing without any interference. I am running xp media centre edition computer with hdmi input. i do like mpc, as it plays all files but not sure if it is dual monitor supported, as i havernt connected a monitor yet, only just finished building computer, connected to hd television. thanks in advance.
