| The manual that came with my graphics card states that for graphics card that have an auxiliary requirement, you must connect the AGP 4 pin molex adapter, the 6 pin PCIE molex adapter or the 8 pin PCIE molex adapter or in some cases, both the 6 pin and 8 pin adapters.
How do I know if my graphics card has "an auxiliary requirement"? It is a GTX260. Another thing I wanted to ask is about the mains PSU cable. I have a good quality PSU. Would using the mains cable from an old computer be ok? I also have a new unused cable which I can't remember where I got from. Would it be safe to use this cable or are there similar cables available which look exactly the same as a PSU cable but are for some other device completely? (Yes, it is definitely a computer related cable and not from a kettle or deep fat fryer!!) Thanks. |

| I have a 260gtx video card and it uses 2 6 pin connectors from my psu,just look on the card and see what connectors it requires,any mains cable will work if they are in good condition. |
