| Hi all
I am getting this error when saving a modified IFO file using Ifoedit. (The file position does not match the offset for table "") It lists this error for a number of tables and the endpoint. Basically I am just taking the original IFO and changing PAL attribute to NTSC and then saving it. This trick allows me to play PAL dvds in my standalone without altering it and usually works on all of them. The VIDEO_TS.ifo changed fine. I saw very limited information on another thread about using IFOupdate to trick Ifoedit into not complaining. But that didnt seem to work for me, as the info was limited anyway. And I am no expert. Any ideas how to get around this problem? All I need to do is get the PAL changed to NTSC without altering the rest of the IFO info. After saving the complaining IFO, I reopen it to see a bunch of added info that shouldnt have been put there. vts_01_0.ifo |

| The only problem I see is the file name is lower case, make sure you hit Get VTS Sectors and save.
Run the folder with a software player(eg PowerDVD) or run it through DVDShrink(analysis) to see if it has errors. |

| Sorry. The attachment shows lowercase. But the file on the pc is all upper case.
I tried the "Get VTS" function. It asks to process ALL IFO files. I tried it both ways, but it didnt work. It actually gives me that error again. It complains about all the tables that are listed in the upper area of IFOEDIT. I have attached the newly created IFO to show what IFOEDIT changed in the file which looks messed up to me. The IFO file size goes from 92kb to like 60kb BTW. VLC Player and DVDShrink both shows errors when trying to open the VIDEO_TS folder. vts_01_0.ifo EDIT: I forgot to mention. Is there another program that will allow you to change the PAL / NTSC attribute? Thats really all I need it for. |

| It sounds like the pointers are screwed up. Download PGCEdit then Open DVD, then go to DVD and select "Delete Unwanted Stuff". Then open the IFO in IFOEdit.
I can't guarantee it will work but it's worth a try. |
