Playing H.264 with Media Player Classic

pcll99 posted 2007 Feb 04 01:06
How do I play a .avi file encoded with H.264 with Media Player Classic? I downloaded the file but the player can only play the sound, no video... is there a special codec that i should get?

the same file plays fine with VLC client....

Yes, you need either CoreAVC (which is great) OR ffdshow (which is great, but uses more CPU than CoreAVC), plus Haali Matroska Splitter.
