Player to play mpegs?

rustolem posted 2004 Dec 08 18:52
Most SVCDs you download are going to be 2 cds but i want to extract the mpegs from each one then burn them as data on a DVD-/+ disc and play them in my DVD player ... anybody if there is a model that will do this ?
i tried a Philips DVP-642 and the first one i tried worked but everyone I have tried since then starts to play then pixels out ...and all im doing is either busting the images or mount them on virtual drive then copying mpeg to desktop and renaming then burning using Nero Express ...

please help

try instead rip the svcd to mpg with isobuster or vcdgear and remove the svcd header, http://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=97&howtoselect=4;14#97

or author as dvd, www.svcd2dvd.com you don't have to reconvert the video.

You want MPEG-ISO?
Cyberhome 300 has this.

The best out there is the Mintek DVD1600 player!. It plays a lot of media that it doesn't say it on the box or inside but this one plays them all.

Anything you can burn through Nero Ultra 6.3.1.25 and higher as CD-ISO, VCD, KVCD, MVCD, CD-ISO MPEG 1-ISO and MPEG 2-ISO, SVCD, SKVCD, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD-ISO (data files with stuff on it) DVD-ISO MPEG2 all RAW formats, also MiniDVD using VOB up to 700+ MB on CD-R.

I even tried over burning CD-Rs on Sony blank media using a Memorex 52x 24x 52x burner to the max burn of 82.59.59 mins. Some KVCD stuff goes pass 99 mins and this player keeps on play until the media is finished.

Just too bad I didn't buy more than 4 of these players when Target had carried them. Now Target is selling the lower end version of the Mintek called Hiteck also know as Apex from the Shinco Manufacturer in China.

DVD Players
Shinco Top End
Mintek
Apex
Hiteck

I don't have any problems with the Mintek the only thing is missing on the remote is the eject button, but the darn thing has volume control on the remote and Jog wheel on the player for quick RR/FF scans.

To learn more about this player do a search on Google for Mintek DVD 1600, plenty of pictures online and things you can do for it. On this site there is more also that I've posted in the DVD players short feedback area.

You need to start off with ISOBuster, very easy to use.
That will convert the DAT to MPEG1 for VCD or MPEG2 for SVCD.
