jimakros posted 2008 Dec 20 10:35
hello,i have an old Panasonic recorder model dmr E30 which broke.I have many discs that i have not finalised yet and do not work on other machines.Do you know if some current Panasonic recorder model can work with these discs?

Yes any newer Panny will play/finalize your disc.
Depending on what you mean by "broke" if your machine is grinding when writing to DVD then a simple spindle cleaning may be all that is needed.

thanks for your answer.unforunately, a plastic piece of the disc cariage mechanism is broken in half.I will contact Panasonic to see how much it will cost to fix but since the model is old i'm also thinking of biying a new one with HDD but i want to finalise the discs i have.

Let me know if you can't figure it out. My machine still works fine, a bit picky about the drawer opening but otherwise okay.
