| I know all the winners here have been very generous in saying that they don't care about the money (myself included!), but I suppose it's a heck of a lot easier for me to say that because I actually won some money! :lol:
And quite seriously, $100 is not an insignificant sum of cash for my bankbook (I've got a house with a leaky roof and car in need of a valve job, every bit helps). And to be scrupulously honest, I probably would not have spent the extra effort to get my movie in on time (I was running very late and contemplated just giving up more than a few times), if not for the prospect of even a small financial reward. :) So anybody who would be tempted to enter future contests in large part for the sake of some cash, I salute you. :salut: | ||

I said that it's not the reason I entered. I think the money's great and I'm glad I won some, but it was about the experience and I'm looking forward to the 2006 competition. But I do want to echo Ozymango's "Thanks for the $$$". It allowed me to do something I've wanted to do for a long time. | ||

Oh, I didn't mean to impugn or imply anything about anybody else, I just meant that we winners have all been very gracious. :) I certainly didn't enter just for the money. I really meant this more towards anybody who might be tempted to enter in the future who might be thinking, "Gee, I really would love to win that grand prize $$$, that's my main motivation" -- whatever works to help you get your movie done and share it, is cool! :) | ||
