| Hi
Cant get 5.1 sound output when i play mkv / x264 files eg. moviv encoded with 5.1 have tryed MPC WMP VLC Power dvd Vista Media Center no 5.1 sound with this type of file but if i play a dvd i get 5.1 sound using thes players i use spdif for hookup to my reciever . Do i need a special codec to get 5.1 sound with those files |

| I use ac3filter, haali media splitter and mpc to play mkv with 5.1 ac3 through spdif and it works great. |

| If you use ac3filter, check the configurations if you have the right output selected |
