Your title contains entire contents of the link itself. Talk about being skimpy on details... That's not your fault though.

Playon should stream NF to your PS3?

More details:

:
Those with Netflix accounts and PS3s will need a special "instant streaming" Blu-ray Disc that will be free to Netflix members.

Probably to run Silverlight.

Yeah, MS Silverlight is a problem. I'd like to see Netflix available on my WDTV Live. But MS would have to OK it and it would probably have to be coded into the firmware. But, it might happen. :) At least I can watch Netflix video on my Media Center, though I rarely use it for that.

Edit: I don't know if PlayOn will work with Netflix Silverlight. :(

But I saw this on the PlayOn site:

:
Does PlayOn support Netflix Silverlight accounts?
Late in 2008, Netflix started upgrading their service to use Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 to stream movies, instead of their previous Windows Media Player system. We have been working hard to support these Netflix Silverlight accounts, and so far, the latest PlayOn releases should handle Silverlight just fine

I also saw this there in answer to my WDTV comment:

:
What devices does PlayOn work with?
Officially? We are officially working with and testing on the PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, NETGEAR EVA2000, Moxi HD DVR, VuNow VN1000SD/HD, and HP MediaSmart TV. However, that said, it will also work on a number of other DLNA-compliant devices. Just keep in mind that this is largely untested, so it's likely you'll see technical issues that haven't been addressed. If you are brave enough to try PlayOn with another DLNA/UPnP media device, you should take part in the Media Devices forum, and share your feedback with us as well as other users. Currently, we have had reports of people using PlayOn with moderate to great success on the following devices:

DirecTV HR21-100 HD DVR, HR20 Receiver
D-Link DSM-510, DSM-520, DSM-750
NETGEAR EVA9150
Pioneer KURO HDTV
Popcorn Hour A100/A110
SageTV HD Theater
Samsung DLNA-compatible HDTV
Sony Bravia DLNA-compatible TVs (XBR9 Series or newer)
vmcPlayIt
Western Digital WDTV2 (My highlight)
XBMC

Seems encouraging. :)

The WDTV Live will play Netflix streaming video via PlayOn. I doubt the Roku does it via Silverlight so there may still be some other mechanism.

I wonder if the WDTV Live's open source firmware is a hurdle for Netflix streaming? Obviously, the switch from mms streaming to Silverlight was to stop people from keeping copies of content.

To reserve the Blu-ray disc that is required to stream Netflix on your PS3 go to http://www.netflix.com and login to your Netflix account. Once logged in go to http://www.netflix.com/ps3 a web page will come up where you just have to click on the link and then you're done. They will automatically ship you the disc once it's released.

Playonplugins.com for plenty of stuff you can add. There are a few adult type plugins.
