| 1. Do you have the codecs needed to decode this type of video? (Check by seeing if it plays in a standard VFW/Directshow media player. If it does, you're probably OK)
2. Do you have the other correct Directshow filters for your filetype? (Check by using Graphedit with the same filters) --My guess is you have installed something which is usurping the standard filters or filter chain. ffdshow and/or Haali Media splitter might do that. 3. Is the filetype supported? SP currently only fully supports WMV and AVI and to some extent MPG (although you can get around this by USING ffdshow--but beware of problems as above, or you could possibly frameserve...) 4. Have you been in contact with Peter Wimmer? (the app developer) Send him an email with the FULL error info (not the cutoff version you posted here) and he's quite good at getting back to you, although if you are a REGISTERED user, he's better. 5. Does this file play in ANYTHING else? (like VLC) Scott EDIT>>>>>>>>>> 6. Also check to see if you've specified your preferred DVD/MPEG2 decoders, etc in the preferences... |

| Thanks for the reply. I think I don't have any external codecs
I watch my movies with VLC/KMP and there is no any problem for waching AVI or MKV or other formats but when I want to open my AVI files with Stereoscopic Player it gives me that error and I really don't know what a VFW/Directshow media player is? if you mean regular players, yes, I can easily play my video files with WMP and VLC and KMP and any other programs but can't open it with StereoScopic Player, now I'm going to download the links you gave and then contact Peter Wimmer Thanks again |

| Well the problem solved with ffdshow
now I just wonder why I can't watch 3D movies with regular red/blue glasses! |

| Make your stereoscopic output choice: Anaglyph, either PURE if it's truly Red/Blue, or OPTIMIZED if it's really Red/Cyan glasses.
Glad the links helped. Note that while using ffdshow and/or Haali media splitter, you'll have the ability to open many more filetypes, if you have dual-video-stream AVI/MKV/MPG files (NOT, 2 streams pre-combined into 1 specially laid-out stream), you'll probably get an error (the one I was talking about in #2 above). Enjoy! Scott |
