My DVD plays on PC. It won't playback on my DVD player.

| My DVD plays on my PC using MPC-HC by open directory. It's not taking it in my Philips DVP3140. On the player itself, I get error. On my TV, I get bad disc. 3 or 4 of my discs was like that. I burned it using ConvertXtoDVD. I have Vista Home. Nero is failing to burn, or I could have had this to play. What should I do? How do I fix it? | ||

| convertx usually does a decent job, so i wouldn't think it was the problem. that pretty much points to the discs. next time try dvd-r rather than +r as they play in more standalones. | ||

Of course you can, why would you think you can't? You've been given 2 suggestions on how to accomplish this: 1. Use ImgBurn to burn DVDs; 2. Use good quality DVDs, like Verbatim or TY. Any other brand/dye of DVD will be inconsistent at best (i.e. some burn and play OK, some don't). DVD players are much more particular about burned DVDs than the drive in your computer. If you aren't able to get new discs, at least burn your next ones with ImgBurn. It's all I've ever used, and I've even had decent (i.e. watchable) burns with lesser-quality discs. Nothing I'd be archiving, but suitable for something that's going to only be viewed a few times. But if you are burning stuff you want to hang on to for a while, definitely step up and get good media. Hope that helps.

| I just add the video_ts folder and imgburn will fix the rest. |
