| Hi,
I just bought this Panasonic SD3 hd camcorder and wondering how I do some editings for a wmv hd demo presentation. I can do it by downgraded to dv, then make it to shitty wmv file. Then all my time & efford were wasted. I can use the HD writer comes with this camcorder to do simple editings, but I can't use it to do the wmv hd , only can do wmv, Real video, Quicktime etc. Also I read some posts and they recommended use Ulead 11 to do hd editing, but I downloaded it and installed it. But it never regconize those mts files, why ?? Also I connected the camcorder with usb connection and the program didn't regconize mts files also. Anyone could possibly give me some hints and make me feel good and not miserable. Thanks

Hi, Baldrick: Thanks for your valuable information. Now I don't want anymore of the wmv hd and already bought the new Apple Quicktime 7.0 Pro. I saw the HD QT is far superior than wmv hd demos . Also found the Media Player Classic version 6.4.9.0 and now I can watch mts files directly. With this neat program and I can view my mts file impressively on my Toshiba Core Duo laptop with 17" ultrabrite screen. Another new discovery was the Ulead Videostudio version 11 and I can import mts files directly for edtings. Seems to me now the ultimate program I ever need for hd would be the Apple Final Cut Pro studio 2.0. It costs an arm and a leg and let's see how I could get one in near future. Since I got this hd camcorder for few days and learn a lots of hd . Also thanks for those people on this website for their great contributions for countless valuable informations.

| I tried it and never worked. Got grey line in the middle of screen. That was all.
Anyhow I got my own way around hd editings and will use primary with Ulead 11 +. Once edting finished and write them back to sd card for TV viewing. If you like to see my simple demo and please go to : www.nostalgiacubana.com/miami.wmv this is the Quicktime mov file and only 1 minute and 56mb. Download first to see. www.nostalgiacubana.com/miami.mov |
