| Hello everyone
I was wondering if I install the mtp device driver, would I still need windows media player? | Some devices have an option for either MSC or MTP. Check that first. I thought XP included the MTP driver?
The file you linked to is just the specification, not a driver ;) |

| Hmmm, Yeah it does have the driver installed, but a pop up window does not appear when I connect it. The manual says I need to install wmp, I guess it works as a handler or something to that extent.
I was just wondering if it was possible to work this without having to install it. |

| See if you can switch the device from MTP to MSC(UMS). I have several MP3 players, only one Sansa, most, including the Sansa e240 I own, do allow this in their settings. If not, try using google to search for an MTP compatible application. |

| yeah my sansa view does have this option. What I do is add the music to the music folder, but when I disconnect it, it starts to refresh and freezes... So the songs don't show up, but take up HD space on it. |
