MPEG2 to AVI or whatever VirtualDub will use |

| Hello All,
I just downloaded the latest version of Virtualdub and installed DivXinstaller so Virtualdub could work with AVI files. Works fine. Now I want to work with a file that is in the MPEG2 format. I read that Virtualdub does not support MPEG2. Should I convert the MPEG2 to AVI or is there another fix? Also, are there any other updates or downloads that I should make to Virtual dub? Thanks, Bill Here is what Mediainfo says about the file: General #0 Complete name : E:\Movies\Wedding Video\Wedding Video 11_3.mpg Format : MPEG-2 Program Format/Family : MPEG-2 File size : 3.50 GiB PlayTime : 1h 28mn Bit rate : 5636 Kbps Writing library : Created by Nero Video #0 Codec : MPEG-2 Video Codec profile : Main@Main Codec settings/Matri : Standard PlayTime : 1h 28mn Bit rate : 9383 Kbps Bit rate mode : CBR Width : 720 pixels Height : 480 pixels Display Aspect ratio : 4/3 Frame rate : 29.970 fps Standard : NTSC Chroma : 4:2:0 Interlacement : Bottom Field First Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.906 Writing library : Created by Nero Audio #0 Codec : AC3 PlayTime : 1h 28mn Bit rate : 448 Kbps Bit rate mode : CBR Channel(s) : 6 channels Channel positions : Front: L C R, Rear: L R, Subwoofer Sampling rate : 48 KHz Video0 delay : -2ms |

VirtualdubMOD I think there might be some plugin for the regular Vdub to open mpg2 files but i'm not sure as i use the first one i posted for working on mpg2 files. |

| Virtualdub can load and edit mpeg-2 files, however it cannot directly output them. For that you need to frameserver to an mpeg-2 encoder. |

| Thanks. The plugin worked like a charm. |
