Media Player Classic can't play TS files
Mylo posted 2008 Sep 27 11:06
I have MPC version 6.4.8.7

I've installed latest FFDShow, Haali Splitter and CoreAVC.

I can't remember what settings I had on my previous XP installation, but I recently installed new XP on new hard drive and can't get this to work in any way.

I've put CoreAVC on prefer under Filters / Overrides, I've tried messing with FFDShow Mpeg and 264 encoder settings, I get audio, but I can't get picture.

I have other HD files, but in avi format, that play well. But I would like to crack down why this TS file can't play now and I played it on previous installation...

Get MPCHC. Enable its internal MPEG PS/TS/PVA splitter. Disable its internal h.264 decoder.

Works, yes! Thanks. But - how can I set the file associations now? I can't get the mpchc on "Open With"

you should be able to if you select open with and then choose program and click browse at the bottom. navigate to the mpchc .exe file and select.

MPCHC: View -> Options -> Player -> Formats
