I am looking for a used MINIDV VIDEO CAMERA of DV VIDEO CAMERA. It need to use MINIDV for all the minidv formats. I am will to pay $100.00 for it :evil: | ||

I actually saw *new* mDV cams for little more than that ;) Go out and check out the stores around... unless you want a top-notch gear for 1/20th of the price? But then I doubt you find it for just a $100 ;) | ||

Avoid it. My bro bought GRD750-U just month ago. There is fundamental flaw in it: when the light turns on while recording, camera changes settings and it becomes fuzzy and almost like a high-motion slideshow alike. Real garbage. Even my bro ditched it and bough Panny with 3CCD as i was telling him from begining to buy. If you still want GRD750-U i could ask my bro if he still has it (like every stupid person, he always need *more more MORE money* because he dont have a brain to use first, LOL). PM me your location. edit: he dont want $100 :shock: so never mind. | ||

You need to spend some time defining your needs up front. The feature you are looking for is called "analog pass through". It usually isn't on the cheaper models. All MiniDV camcorders have IEEE-1394 but few have pass through transcoding. When you see a camcorder in your price range show up on ebay or craigslist, use Google to find the specs and comfirm the feature set you need before you bid. The owner probably doesn't know they have this feature. First you said MiniDV then you say Digital8. Those are two different tape formats (both DV). I'll teach you to fish but you need to do the fishing. | ||
