That is the audio file, not the video, and it's AC-3 audio which is pretty standard.

Where are you getting this "DJBCP" information from? What file did you use mediainfo on?

Do you want to replace the french audio with the english audio track in the avi container movie? If so use avimux-gui or virtualdub

If you still want to convert it, you could use foobar2000, eac3to, megui, audacity, many others....

Sorry if i'm being a bit thick here, but this is where got the info from

I have tried to replace the French audio with the English, the file in question, but virtualdub will not accept the file it says it's an unrecognizable file type.

You don't have "view file extensions" enabled in the folder options

According to mediainfo, it is AC3 audio

If you are using a recent version of vdub, it would be audio=>audio from other file. You might need AC3ACM installed for vdub to "recognize" it

Or you could try avimux-gui to replace the french audio with the AC3 track, or avidemux

Brilliant, thanks for all your help.

Vdub with AC3ACM did the trick.
