Help with Pioneer DVD Writer DVR-112D and Nero

I have been using this burner for awhile so I think i may have burned it out. I figured I'd check to see if there was a better answer then spending more money on a new burner. try imgburn and a different dvdr brand. preferably verbatim or taiyp yuden dvd-r. looks like it could be bad media.

If you still have existing problems when using IMGBURN then do a burst rate test using CD/DVD SPEED. Then post the results here. http://www.cdspeed2000.com/download.html#nerocdspeed The Sony dvd media that you're using should be fine. Another suggestion is to buy a new 80 wire ide cable because they can fail after a period of time.

IMGBURN is the best software for burning dvd media don't use NERO. Check the UDMA settings for your 112D drive. It should be in UDMA 4 mode. Are you using a 80 wire ide cable with your 112D drive? As I've already suggested buy a new 80 wire ide cable for your drive. This should determine whether or not you need to buy a new dvd burner. You can also get some VERBATIM or TAIYO YUDEN dvd media to try. The burst rate test seems to be okay but a bit low. BRB gonna do a burst rate test on my PIONEER 111L drive. My burst rate is 40mb.
