Have you upgraded to a HD camcorder? |

| No, I just use my mobile...crappy quality but it's enough for the video I make. |

| I still use a Digital8 camcorder, during that time it costed 1500 euros.
I'm happy with it, for me it's even better then a new HD camcorder. |

| I use my digital camera for HD, the quality is surprisingly good.
I also have a Sony D8 camcorder that I use every once in awhile. |

| I have a canon MiniDV that I rarely use. I just break out my Canon Ixus 90IS portable and use that instead. |

| I'm still using the JVC GR-HD1 I got years ago. If I remember right it was the first consumer hdv camcorder. |

| I bought a Cannon HF10 earlier this year, and will never touch another tape again! Using the WD TV to watch the footage. |

| I still have my 8mm sony camcorder (90's vintage). Its not hi8 but the step down from that. IT DOES HAVE WIDESCREEN mode though. So I'm pretty sure its gotta be letterboxed 4:3 widescreen but at least it will give it a little extra life.
I don't shoot enough video to jump to hd - or even dv for that matter. |

| Just my old D8 camcorder, but I'm not doing much with it. I'm spending all my time writing these days. |

| I bought my Sony HDR-SR1 AVCHD camcorder as soon it appeared on shelves. Before I had Sony DV camcorder. Some videos are made with Hi8 and digital8 camcorders, and I have possibility to compare them all on same HD display. If anybody don't see difference between AVCHD and DV or Hi8, they don't know what they are talking about.
I bought my HDR-SR1 for shooting my grandchildren's childhood and I think they'll remember me all their lifetime for it. |

| Been shooting HD exclusively for the last 3 years with my Canon HV20 HDV camera.
I still have a mint condition Panasonic GS500 Mini-dv camera that's been collecting dust the past few years. I should probably sell it. It's a good standard def camera. And yes, there is no comparison in picture quality between standard def and High def cameras, unless you are using a crappy HD camera for comparison. |

| about 3 years ago, I bought a Sony HDV...then last year a Canon HDV
I enjoy reading how some users are not going to upgrade to some sort of HD I just saw a HC3 for $200...that's how much they've come down in price |

| Still using my Panny PV GS-500 and love it. The only viable HD's I see are Canon MinDVD Cams-the rest are trouble for now. |
| MJA posted 2009 Nov 04 09:27 |
| I don't trust the recommendation of anyone who recommend MinDVD Cam |

| I can't imagine why I would want a video camera.
I hardly ever use a still frame camera, for that matter. |

| I have a pair of Sony TRV950s (SD). No one complains, I think the SD results are outstanding, particularly for DVD production. Most clients don't have Blu Ray players |

| I voted, No, older camcorder is good enough
No, but I did see a Sony for $199 that featured 720p and 1080i HD at Staples, I almost got it but thought it was prob the wrong price tag and ran away. Next time I'll write down the model number and review it. It was an orange color (ugly) and had interesting (sounds was on by default) when I pressed any buttons. It also had real-time histogram which I thought was cool (for photoshop comparisons) but I haven't upgraded to anything yet..I still have my Canon ZR-10, Sony TRV-22, and JVC GR-DVL820U cams  -vhelp 5248 |
